Award Nominations for the Second Annual Clara Barton Awards Honoring Women of Distinction of the Eastern Shore  

Thank you for nominating an individual for the Second Annual Clara Barton Awards.  Listed below are the award categories for your  review.  Select a category that best describes your nominee. Philanthropist of the Year: A woman who, through her philanthropy, has had a marked impact on the ability of the Eastern Shore charities to better meet the needs of her community.  The nominee’s philanthropic efforts should have been sustained over time and should have helped to set a standard for charitable support on the Eastern Shore.   

Humanitarian of the Year: A business woman who has had a significant impact on the well being of her community.  This nominee should have demonstrated exceptional leadership and had an impact on not only her neighbors and the community, but on staff as well.  Special consideration may be given to a nominee who has been active in the arena of policy making, public education efforts or advocacy, safety or emergency preparedness.  

Life Saver of the Year: A woman who has used life-saving skills such as first aid, CPR, or the AED to save a human life within the last three years.

Armed Forces Member of the Year: An active duty or reserve member woman of the military who served in a war zone to protect our country or who works to promote community preparedness, emergency health education or safety training.
