Frankford Family Assisted By Red Cross After Mobile Home Fire

Seaford, DE – January 2, 2007 – A family of three was assisted by Red Cross volunteers after a fire destroyed their mobile home in New Marydels community in Frankford on the evening of Friday December 29th. The family of two adult and a teenager were provided with temporary accommodation, groceries and seasonal clothing, by trained volunteers from the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula..

The American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula is recruiting volunteers and provides free training for those wishing to become disaster volunteers, who assist families devastated by fires, floods and other disasters. A volunteer orientation will be at the Dover E.O.C. on Thursday January 11th, from 5:30-6:30pm. Register by calling Sarah Gilmour at (302) 472-6260 or sgilmour@redcrossdelmarva.org.
