Red Cross volunteers
respond to Hurlock fire affecting family of four
Volunteer orientation on January 25th for new
volunteers
Seaford, DE – January 13, 2007 – Red Cross volunteers
responded to a
fire which left a family of four, a mother and her
three children, displaced from their home on Whiteleyville
Road in Hurlock on the afternoon of Friday January
12th.
The American Red Cross of the Delmarva
Peninsula typically provides
families displaced by disasters such as home fires
and floods with temporary accommodation, groceries
and clothing, free of charge to the affected family,
thanks to the generosity of the American public.
Volunteer Orientation
The American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula
is recruiting volunteers and provides free training
for those wishing to become disaster volunteers, who
assist families devastated by fires, floods and
other disasters. A volunteer orientation will be at
the Talbot County Free Library on Thursday January
25th, from 5:30-6:30pm. Register by calling Betsy
