Jessie Ball duPont Fund donates $50,000 to the Red Cross International Relief Fund

January 20, 2010 Wilmington, DE - The Jessie Ball duPont Fund generously gave a $50,000 Disaster Relief grant to the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula to support relief efforts in Haiti. The duPont Fund’s grant will help meet the immediate emergency needs of the Haitian people, including food, shelter and water. The American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula thanks the Jessie Ball duPont Fund for their long-standing support of the American Red Cross.

The Jessie Ball duPont Fund is a national foundation that makes grants to a defined universe of organizations whose eligibility is determined exclusively by Mrs. duPont's personal philanthropic decisions. An organization is eligible if it received a gift from Mrs. duPont between January 1, 1960 and December 31, 1964. Today, there are more than 300 eligible organizations.
