Red Cross assists Three Maryland Families after Fires

January 25, 2010 Wilmington, DE- Disaster Action Team volunteers with the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula met with three families today after fires damaged their homes.

An early morning apartment fire affected two families on High Street in Cambridge, MD today. The Red Cross assisted one family of four adults with a safe place to stay and groceries. A second family of two adults and one child received a safe place to stay, groceries and clothing.

Volunteers also met with a Chesapeake City, MD family of five (two adults and three children) after their Biddle Street home was damaged in a fire. The family received a safe place to stay, groceries, and clothing from the Red Cross.
