Red Cross takes care of multiple families after
fires
in Magnolia, Frederica, Seaford and Dover
SEAFORD, DE – January 26, 2007 – As winter
sets in, four families were helped by the American
Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula after home fires
in Magnolia, Frederica, Seaford and Dover this past
week.

An overnight house fire on Friday January
19th affected two adults and a child, who met with
Red Cross volunteers, to discuss their immediate
needs.

After their home on Barretts Chapel Road was struck
by fire on January 21st, a couple was assisted with
lodging and their other emergency needs by the
American Red Cross.

American Red Cross volunteers responded after an
early morning fire today on Arch Street affected two
families (6 adults and 3 children).

Dover house fire
Red Cross Disaster Action members assisted to two
adults after a fire on Upland Avenue early this
morning, providing temporary accommodation, food,
clothing and their other immediate needs.
With all disasters, large or small, Red Cross
assists with the immediate disaster-caused needs of
those affected – primarily temporary shelter, food
and clothing – free of charge to the recipients. The
families are also referred to other community
partners for their longer term needs, and provided
with information on the steps they should take to
cope with the disaster and plan their recovery.
