Wilmington, DE – February 11, 2008 – American Red Cross Disaster Action Team Volunteers responded on Saturday 2/9/2008 to a fire in the Persimmon Tree Drive area of Newark affected 2 people. They were provided with temporary shelter, food and clothing. Disaster Volunteers responded again on Sunday 2/10/2008 to a fire in the Appleby Apartments in New Castle that affected 3 families. They were provided with food and clothing. The Apartment complex was handling shelter needs.
