Two Adults Assisted By Red Cross After Murray Manor Fire

Wilmington, DE – March 3, 2007 – Two adults were being helped by the Red Cross this afternoon after a fire at their home in Murray Manor Trailer Park in Wilmington. Trained volunteers from the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula assisted the family with their emergency needs of temporary accommodation, food and seasonal clothing.

With all disasters, large or small, Red Cross assists with the immediate disaster-caused needs of those affected – primarily temporary shelter, food and clothing – free of charge to the recipients. The families are also referred to other community partners for their longer term needs, and provided with information on the steps they should take to cope with the disaster and plan their recovery.
