Eagle 97.7FM’s Steve West sets off on the next leg of his DELAWALK from the new Red Cross office in Seaford

April 4, 2006 – SEAFORD, DE – A new office serving six counties in the Southern Delmarva region was officially opened by the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula in Seaford, Delaware, today, April 4th, consolidating staff from its offices in Milford, Delaware and Easton, Maryland. At the 8:00am ribbon-cutting and Open House, attended by county and local dignitaries and community partners, Red Cross staffers and volunteers were on hand to provide information about the emergency services provided through this new office.

Margi Prueitt, Chief Executive Officer for the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula thanked local guests who attended the function and said that residents of the Southern Delmarva counties served by the new office can be confident that all community needs for disaster relief and community preparedness will continue to be met. On site at the new office was the Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicle which is used during major disasters, and also three trailers packed with supplies and ready to be deployed anywhere in the Southern Delmarva region in an emergency.
